HO-MEN-ET-MEN
HOMENETMEN TORONTO
A handful of visionary Armenian immigrants got together in 1968 at the old Armenian Community Centre on Dupont St. at Avenue Rd. with a challenge to organize the growing number of Armenian youth in the Toronto area. In 1969 they received their Chapter Charter and elected their first Executive Committee. A men's soccer team was formed as well as a Cub Pack and Scout Troop. Girls Scouting groups and other athletic teams soon followed.
Today, Homenetmen Toronto operates out of the modern Armenian Community Centre at Victoria Park and Hwy 401 and boasts a membership of over 600 youth and volunteers. Homenetmen Toronto sponsors over 25 athletic athletic teams and 8 Scouting groups for boys and girls.
